Three slow walks through the historic routes of Naples, three Slow Food Presidia legumes, three tastings curated by local producers.
This is the spirit of Leguminosa Off – Walking with Taste, a series of urban walks taking place on Saturdays in May, supported and promoted by the Department of Tourism of the Municipality of Naples together with Slow Food Campania.
Designed as a laboratory of slow walking, the project invites participants to discover the city through an unusual pairing: the rhythm of walking and the experience of taste.
The initiative proposes alternative itineraries starting from the ancient Greek walls and extending towards Capodimonte hill, the Sanità district, Borgo dei Vergini and Via Foria—areas of extraordinary beauty and identity that remain largely untouched by conventional tourist flows.
These are not escape routes, but meaningful journeys: each walk is associated with a Slow Food Presidium legume, symbol of biodiversity and rural memory, and concludes with a technical and narrative tasting experience connecting land, storytelling and cuisine.
Programme
- 9 May – 11:00 am

The first walk begins among the Greek walls near the Trianon Theatre, in the ancient heart of Forcella, exploring the ancestral relationship between the city and its original boundaries.

- 16 May – 4:30 pm
Meeting point: Porta Grande, Capodimonte
The second stage starts from Porta Grande in the Royal Bosco di Capodimonte and descends along the panoramic slopes of the Moiariello towards Via Foria, following a route that combines sweeping hillside views with the vitality of the lower neighbourhoods.
The final tasting will feature the Dente di Morto Bean, a Slow Food Presidium.

Meeting point: Porta San Gennaro
The third itinerary explores the city’s historic expansion extra moenia, from Porta San Gennaro to the Borgo dei Vergini, ending in the intimate atmosphere of the Vincentian Refectory.
