The journey begins with a scenic drive towards Pompeii, the ancient Roman city buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. Accompanied by a licensed tour guide, participants discover what everyday life was like in a city of around 20,000 inhabitants, through remarkably well-preserved buildings, objects and archaeological remains.
Highlights include the Forum, the heart of public life, the House of the Vettii, renowned for its elaborate decorations, and the Lupanar, one of ancient Pompeii's most intriguing sites, with its erotic frescoes.
After exploring the archaeological site, the tour continues to Naples, taking in impressive monuments and unforgettable views. From Piazza Municipio, where the imposing Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino) stands, the route leads to Posillipo, with a scenic stop at the terrace of the Church of Sant'Antonio, offering magnificent views over the city and the Gulf of Naples.
The itinerary concludes in the monumental heart of Naples, at Piazza del Plebiscito, where participants can admire the exteriors of the Royal Palace, the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola, the Galleria Umberto I and the Teatro di San Carlo.
An opportunity to journey through centuries of history, from ancient Roman civilisation to Naples' magnificent landmarks, while discovering the extraordinary cultural heritage and landscapes of Campania.
